Business & Entrepreneurship

CO.STARTERS Entrepreneurship Online

This introductory, online noncredit program offers a nationally-recognized, licensed curriculum. Whether you’ve already started developing an idea or exploring new ideas, this program will give you the tools and support to move forward.

Develop or enhance the skills necessary to for employment in HR management or promotion in existing employment to a supervisory level. Topics address the total employee life cycle from recruitment to termination. Take classes to complete the certificate or enroll in a specific class. This certificate is recognized by SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) and stackable into BC3’s Human Resource Management, A.A.S.

 

Health Care & Fitness

This program is FREE to qualified participants. Earn a certificate in Basic Health Care Employment Skills. Learn the basic skills needed for entry-level employment in the health care field or prepare to enroll in a certified training program related to health care. Students will have the opportunity to earn certifications in CPR, AED and First Aid as well as HIPPA.

Get all the information needed to start an exciting fitness career & become a Certified Personal Trainer. The self-paced course with optional scheduled online lectures with a top 5 star teacher will cover 15 hours on anatomy, exercise physiology, kinesiology, biomechanics, nutrition and more.

Lifestyle Wellness Coaching Course

Self-paced online-mentored class to help develop the personal skills to lead clients, while opening new revenue streams outside of just exercise training sessions

Personal Care Home Administrator

Personal Care Homes provide lodging, food, and support services for people who are elderly or have mental or physical disabilities. Residents need help with dressing, eating, taking medications, mobility, and finances. To complete this certificate, students must pass the free competency test.

 

Hospitality

ServSafe® Food Protection Manager Certification Exam

Starting in 2020, the Pennsylvania Food Code requires that the person in charge (PIC) of a food service operation be a Certified Food Protection Manger. That person must be onsite at all times during operating hours. To receive and maintain certification, individuals are required to pass a certification exam every five (5) years. Passing the ServSafe® Food Protection Manager Certification Examination with a 75% or higher meets this requirement.

Includes one-hour free review with certified instructor and proctored exam.

Skilled Trades

Manufacturing Skills Training Certificate

Designed to develop entry-level skills to start a manufacturing career. Learn to read blueprints and use a variety of measuring instruments and basic shop equipment. Earn both NIMS and NTMA credentials. This certificate is offered in partnership with Penn United Technologies, Inc.

The Quality Inspector needs a unique set of skills in order to assist their company in producing a good quality product in an efficient manner. This course will provide students with the knowledge and foundation to grasp the principles of quality control inspection, the basic theories and methods of performing quality inspections and documenting the results.
