BC3 Launches Entrepreneurship Academy
In late January, BC3 became the site of a new Entrepreneurship Academy that takes the college-in-a-high-school concept to a new level.
The program – designed to provide high school seniors from participating schools with hands-on business experience – was made possible thanks to a $100,000 state grant received by the Midwestern Intermediate Unit 4, which previously had operated the program in Mercer County. Seniors from seven Butler County school districts are eligible for acceptance into the academy. To be considered, students must submit an application that includes a two-to three-minute video introduction outlining their future goals. The Butler, Karns City, Mars, Moniteau, Seneca Valley, Slippery Rock, and South Butler school districts are participating in the academy. Show less...

Nursing Program Receives Re-Accreditation
In early 2015, BC3’s nursing program began the rigorous process of receiving continued accreditation by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing. A team from ACEN visited the campus in January, and issued its formal notification to BC3 on July 29 that it was granting continuing accreditation of the Nursing, R. N. program. In its formal notification, ACEN thanked the nursing faculty and staff at BC3 for its commitment to quality nursing education. Read more...
